Hershey!

So Sri turned 41, and we all celebrated by visiting his favorite hometown amusement park.  Chocolate for everyone!

I am so happy the kids are developing an appreciation for Air Hockey.

Gabe was loving all the rides, except the kid roller-coaster.  Neither of them were a big fan of that bad boy.

Mira taking a mid-morning bottle break.

Ellie and her godfather.  They had SUCH a good day together.

Swing!

These two really enjoyed each other.

Betty thought it was HYSTERICAL to copy Mira.

No 41-year-olds birthday party is complete without a make-your-own-pizza party.

And a visit from a slightly disturbing Hershey's Kiss!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Sri!

Auntie Diane's

Still playing catch up around here!  Last weekend (two weekends ago?) we went to Auntie Diane's house in Long Island to celebrate her son's marriage and catch up with all the extended family.  And the kids spent the whole day in the pool. They're waterlogged.

Go Mira!

Gabey and Pierre are fast friends.  Language barrier be damned.

Ellie was so excited to make a whirlpool with the big girl cousins.  "I made three new friends!" she said.

Poconos

Ugh...I'm so far behind...I promised I wouldn't drop the ball on this blog...but here we are....posting pictures of Memorial Day weekend two weeks after the fact.  Oh well. Better late than never, and all that.  We went to the Poconos!

Amy working real hard to show Ellie a good time.

Hrm....Clash of the Titans was on TV at the restaurant...perhaps not entirely appropriate.

Roasting cheetos?  Of course!

Country kids!

And a classic photobomb.

We roasted sausage too...marshmallows are so passe.

And the kids played with caterpillars for hours.  Look how dirty they are!

Finding more...

Timberrrrrrrr!

Gabe and yet another caterpillar.

Then we came home and had a barbecue.  In the street, of course.

Gabe's typical facial expression lately.

Rosie and Mira!

Ellie had a ton of fun in Auntie Lucy's shoes...

And with her Uncle Rob.

Philly

Wait, what?  It's almost the weekend again?  And you say it's Memorial Day Weekend?  Yikes!  I'd better post pictures from LAST weekend before it's a distant memory.

We went to Philly!  And played with the cousins!

And shot rockets through hoops in the air!

And rode carousels...

(some of us for the first time)...

We were brave in sprinklers...

And painted beautiful frames.

...and then fell asleep like three angels on the ride home.

Thanks Mary and Chris, & Bill and Cynthy for a super great Sunday!

Mira's 9 month stats

Mira's 26-1/4 inches long and 17 pounds, 5 ounces.  That puts her at 5th percent for height and 25th percent for weight.  The little monkey is all thighs and grins.

For comparison's sake (we only have multiple children so we can compare them, right?) Ellie was 26.9 inches and 17 pounds, 11 ounces at 9 months.  And Gabe was....(frantically searching the blog history....ummmm....crickets....) apparently I didn't write down Gabe's 9 month stats.  Oops!

Mothers Day Picnic

This may be my favorite day of the year...

Daddy multitasking.

Off on an adventure!

My new favorite picture.

Our Mothers Day Buddies.  Long live tradition.

Let's play ball!  (Until he got bonked in the nose with the wiffle ball.  There may have been tears.)

Photobomb!

Gabe making the hard decisions.

Firewood!  You should have seen him trying to make a fire.

My other new favorite picture.

The kids were STOKED they had carte blanche to eat as much bread as they wanted.

Dad and Gabe coming back from their adventure walk.

Pony!

A shot taken by a friend at the FIRST party last weekend.  There was a pony.  Of course there was a pony.  And now someone wants a pony.  Say it again, PONY!

Surprise Day!

Our  nanny called in sick, so we get to play!

Photo Booth Hilarity

Well, that was a weekend.  We started with a Saturday morning birthday party, then straight to a Cinco de Mayo party, then I hopped a train in to the city for an evening work event and stayed overnight in Brooklyn because I had to work another event early Sunday morning.  Then, on to the LIRR out to Ronkonkoma where Brian and the kids met me for yet ANOTHER party.  Phew!  But this party had a photo booth!

And look, ma!  All five!

More Fairy Madness

The fairies really need to get a mail box.
