Brian's Birthday Weekend

The Coburns always come to celebrate Brian's birthday weekend, and this year John brought me sourdough starter!  I am so excited.  We didn't have Brian's usual bowling birthday bash, but then we went bowling anyway and it sort of turned into his birthday party, so that all worked out.

We took the kids into the city to the Museum of Natural History.  As always, a highlight of the day was the train ride.

These two had so much fun.

Whale!

Aunt Becky explains dinosaur extinction, while losing Dori.

Hooligans.

The rest of the weekend was spent closer to home.

And then there was bowling!

Three of my favorite guys.

Ellie is still the sooo good with the littles.

Tea Party!

But on to the important stuff.  Sourdough!

Holiday Memories

...and just like that, we're in the middle of January.  I'd better post our holiday pictures before winter turns into mud season.

Let's start with the important things.  We made these.  Twice.

Which necessitated a Boxing Day run with my favorite runners.

We actually got a family photo on Christmas Day!

And got to play with the cousins while celebrating Hanukkah

Popop and Momom got all the kids awesome Schneider shirts.

And the kids learned to play checkers.

There were superheroes to protect us all.

But Gabe still felt it necessary to sit on the table away from Willow the dog.

Mira did not share his qualms.

And then it was New Years!

I seriously overdid the food for New Years, but most importantly Jared taught me how to make blistered peppers.

Happy Everything.
